Ornery Mule Run Coaches are part of a team. This includes access to all of our racing/pacing/crewing experiences. It is a huge benefit to have access to other coaches to bounce ideas off of, to see who has run what races, etc. You are getting access to a much bigger running library than any of us as individuals have, which will allow each of us to be better coaches.
Use of Ornery Mule Run Coaching RunDNA App. This makes writing programs, and checking in on your clients easy & professional
Ornery Mule Run Coaching is responsible for the billing
Coaches Bio-Philosophy page on trailrun.coach website
Ornery Mule Run Coaching social media page. All of our social media platforms have very high engagement and many followers. We cross promote on our social media platforms
Advertisements in Ultra Running Magazine, Google, race information and social media to promote our coaching programs.
Ability to offer coaching clients entry into OMR sold out races. (Example: Kettle Moraine 100)
Connection with an established race company, Ornery Mule Racing
Job Responsibilities and Duties
Represent the OMR ideals: kindness, community, caring, welcoming to all, fun, and safe
Coach clients in healthy, responsible ways
Keep informed on evolving coaching and training trends
Connect and engage with the running community
Self-promote as a coach with Ornery Mule Run Coach (via social media and at events when applicable)
Provide own liability insurance
Utilize RunDNA for entering athlete plans
Support other Ornery Mule Run Coaches through monthly coaching meetings and messages by sharing resources and advice
Attend run coaching meetings
Volunteer in the running community
Maintain weekly communication with athletes
Respond to Ornery Mule Run Coach Connector and coaching requests within 12 hours
Provide coaching information for website bio and keep information current
Keep Ornery Mule Run Coach Connector up to date with athletes’ achievements to be shared on social media

Job Qualifications
Preferred Run Coaching Certification and/ or background in exercise science, kinesiology, health or related field
Personal experience with running
Preferred experience with run coaching

Coach exclusively for Ornery Mule Run Coach
Ornery Mule Run Coaching retains athlete clients for six months after run coach exits
Run Coaches are independent contractors (1099 employees). Paid on a monthly basis.
